Students with disabilities: web experience survey
Who should take part?
Australian university or TAFE student with a disability that may affect their use of the web (e.g. vision impairment, dyslexia, loss of motor skills).
About the survey
Questions
There are 14 questions. Some will be quick to answer, but others will take more time. Allow 15-30 minutes.
We will not ask for any information that will identify you or your institution. If any is provided by accident, it will be destroyed.
Goals
We want to improve the accessibility of university and TAFE web-based resources. To do this, we need information about the experiences of students with disabilities.
We will use the information to produce:
- Profiles or personas of students with disabilities. These can be used to educate web design teams and content producers about the needs and experiences of people with disabilities
- A report summarising the survey findings. This will be shared with universities and TAFEs by being published on this site.
Depending on the quality of the data collected, a conference paper may be produced, and it may also be used as a starting point to design further research.
Access to the data
Only the researcher will have direct access to the raw data from the survey. It will be stored securely.
